Junior Tax Consultant

Marsh Risk – Warsaw, Poland

Marsh McLennan is seeking a Junior Tax Consultant to join the Tax Operations team during a transformative period for the business and the global tax landscape. The successful candidate will be based in Marsh McLennan’s Warsaw Tax Team and will support U.S. and global tax compliance and operations, influence systems and process changes, and contribute to global tax initiatives such as Pillar 1 and Pillar 2.

  • Prepare U.S. information tax returns for non-U.S. entities (U.S. Forms 5471, 8858, 8865) and state/local tax returns, including estimated tax calculations and related payment requisitions.
  • Assist in preparing the U.S. consolidated tax return, reporting on non-U.S. branches of U.S. corporations.
  • Assist in preparing the consolidated U.S. GAAP‑based tax provision, including consolidating workpapers and supporting book tax entries.
  • Act as a tax liaison between internal stakeholders and third parties.
  • Maintain records of group attributes such as group loss relief and corporate interest restriction for UK return purposes.
  • Support the calculation of acceder tax true‑ups (‘return to provision’ adjustments) to ensure balance accuracy in the primary U.S. GAAP ledger.
  • Maintain awareness of current and proposed U.S. and U.K. tax legislation and case law that impacts compliance and reporting.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years in finance or accounting with corporate tax compliance and provisioning experience, or a recent graduate in accounting/finance or a similar discipline.
  • Fluent English (written and oral).
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Desired Attributes

  • Knowledge of withholding tax processes.
  • Strong technical skills and a desire to develop proficiency in multiple areas of taxation.
  • Experience with U.S. GAAP reporting and tax accounting (ASC 740).
