Join the Messaging Platform team, where we send millions of messages to customers across 70 countries in 14 languages. As a Junior Software Development Engineer in the Lifecycle Marketing (LCM) subteam, youll help build tools and integrations that power seamless messaging about critical updates, new features, and marketing campaigns across channels like email, push notifications, and in-app messages. Youll work with platforms like Braze to support marketing efforts for Remitly’s products (multiple mobile apps) and contribute to a global, event-driven messaging system. Be part of shaping the future of our messaging platform, a critical system designed to meet the scale and complexity of our global operations.
This role is a hybrid mode, with our office located in the heart of Kraków, conveniently next to the main train.
responsibilities :
Develop tools for lifecycle marketing, helping deliver scalable solutions to millions of users worldwide
Develop integrations and consolidations between messaging and other systems, addressing complex technical challenges
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while learning from senior engineers
Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to create features that impact global customers
Contribute to event-driven architectures and messaging tools
Participate in writing and reviewing technical documentation
Reporting to the Engineering Manager based in Krakow
requirements-expected :
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
2+ years of software development experience
Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Golang, Java/Kotlin, JavaScript)
A keen interest in solving challenges related to large-scale distributed systems
Eagerness to collaborate in a high-impact environment
Basic knowledge of event-driven architectures
Experience communicating updates and resolutions to team members and other partners
