About this opportunity:

We are now looking for an energetic and dynamic person to strengthen our Lodz team working on maintenance and development of a Components Simulator, which is our future UE simulator, part of the overall Ericsson strategy to come first to market with 5G products!

The team is part of Simulation Services (SIS) in Poland that provides a range of services and tools developed for testing networks like 4G and 5G. These test tools and test automation frameworks are required for verification of products and their functionalities during the development process.

Your role will include all development activities such as requirement analysis, software design, integration, verification, simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support, and product documentation. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We are organized in multi-functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing are part of the daily work.

Java is our programming language, and we also use Jira, Confluence, and GIT.

What you will do:

1. Participate in the majority of steps of the software development cycle (Requirement Specification, Software Design, Software Implementation, Test Design, Test Execution activities, Automatic testing)
2. Develop competence in a technical domain
3. Be responsible for ensuring that the delivered software components provide the necessary functionality and perform in accordance with the overall requirements and customer expectations
4. Perform investigation, analysis, and resolution of encountered issues and problems in both software and systems
5. Perform troubleshooting and customer support
6. Influence the product roadmap by proposing architecture changes
7. Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
8. Drive strategic technical leadership

The skills you bring:

Education: Master’s / Bachelor’s degree or a student in Computer Software Engineering or a similar field.

Experience: A person keen to develop in telecommunications and software development with basic knowledge of Java or 1 year of experience in Java programming with an interest in development in telecommunications.
