About the project
Our Client is building the future of banking - pursuing the mission to build the leading BaaS provider in the UK, underpinned by innovative technology and backed by their reach and strong balance sheet.

We work in Scalled Agile Framework – consisting of around 160 people divided into 16-17 teams (with ~6-7 engineers in each team)
Your responsibilities
- Initial triage of security events, determining entities involved and providing context to investigation notes
- Monitor and respond to security events across our cloud infrastructure, SaaS applications and native mobile application
- Handle BAU responsibilities and provide technical support to colleagues across the business.
- Utilise threat intelligence and proactively hunt for threats within our environments
- Regularly review and document the challenges in SOC operations to efficiently reduce alert fatigue and improve our monitoring and detection.
- Collaborate within the team to extract different types of statistics that are of interests to the management.
- Identify repetitive tasks and create automated workflows and solutions
Our requirements
- Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and strong knowledge of logging, monitoring, detection and response
- Good understanding and knowledge of common industry cyber security frameworks, standards and methodologies, including; OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK and NIST is essential
- Able to work in fast paced environments
- Great written and oral communication skills
- Passion for security and love to learn and grow within a team
- Comfortable working with other teams and being embedded
Optional
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as python
- Knowledge on Mac OS and Unix
- Familiarity with tech stacks such as GCP and AWS cloud, kubernetes and its application
