With the aim of providing easily customizable online pre-employment assessment tests, eSkill Corporation has developed into a global leader in employment-related skills testing. eSkill provides organizations with a web-based skill testing service. Specifically, the eSkill application lets hiring and training managers configure tests from our extensive subject library to match their hiring and training needs and reduce the risk of hiring failures and discrimination litigation.

We are looking for a highly motivated Junior/Regular Java Engineer to join our growing engineering team. As a Junior/Regular Java Engineer, you will work alongside experienced developers to design, build, and maintain high-quality software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in Java programming, a passion for software development, and a desire to learn in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

  1. Education: a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
  2. Programming knowledge: solid understanding of core Java concepts such as object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms.
  3. Experience: any hands-on Java programming experience (e.g. personal projects or internships) will be considered.
  4. Problem-solving skills: a demonstrated ability to approach complex problems logically and effectively.
  5. Learning mindset: a genuine passion for software development and a willingness to learn new technologies and best practices.
  6. Communication skills: ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, both in writing and verbally.

Nice-to-have:

  1. Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot or Hibernate.
  2. Knowledge of databases (SQL).
  3. Experience with version control systems (Git).
  4. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum).

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

  1. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Java code.
  2. Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement features.
  3. Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve your skills.
  4. Troubleshoot and debug software issues across different platforms.
  5. Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  6. Continuously learn new technologies and improve coding practices.
  • Development fund of 3k PLN per year per head
  • Flexibility in choosing the type of contract
