Junior R&D Specialist
Your responsibilities
- Conduct physical and chemical analyses for assigned projects under supervision.
- Perform characterization tests on raw materials, prototypes and finished products, ensuring accuracy and repeatability.
- Work in full compliance with laboratory safety rules and chemical handling procedures.
- Support product development according to formulation targets defined by the R&D Manager.
- Assist in benchmarking activities and periodic characterization of Kerakoll and competitor products.
- Support industrialization and validation phases for assigned products.
- Maintain technical documentation ensuring correctness, traceability and compliance with internal standards.
- Update laboratory records, test logs and product files in digital tools (SharePoint / internal systems).
- Provide initial data analysis and communicate results to the R&D Manager.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to define testing requirements for raw materials and finished goods.
- Support Product Marketing in application tests and evaluation meetings.
- Assist in interactions with suppliers during raw material sampling.
- Participate in certification tests and support preparation of required documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities within R&D.
Our requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Biotechnologies or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of experience in a laboratory or R&D environment (experience is an asset).
- Basic understanding of laboratory methods and material behaviour.
- Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn.
- Problem-solving mindset and curiosity for innovation.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to use MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) and readiness to learn internal digital systems (SAP, LIMS, SharePoint).
- Polish language required; English A2+ preferred.
