We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of Junior Python Engineer . The ideal candidate should possess good Python skills and demonstrate knowledge of SQL. Familiarity with any of: Snowflake, Streamlit, Ariflow, Kafka, dbt, Oracle PL/SQL, APEX will be considered as a significant advantage.

Requirements:

  • Strong academic background — minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

  • At least 1 year of production experience with:

    Python (including pandas, numpy, SQLAlchemy, OOP, distributed workflows) in large-scale projects (including packages developement)

    SQL (any dialect; Oracle is a plus)

  • Solid understanding of DB

  • Experience with Git and Docker

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive approach, eagerness to learn, explore and grow

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility

  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills

  • Dedication to excellence in technical skills

  • Proficiency in Polish (C1) and English (B2)

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with any of: Snowflake, Streamlit, Airflow, Kafka, dbt, Oracle PL/SQL, APEX

  • Relevant trainings or certifications in any of the above tools/technologies

  • Contribution to free-time projects, blogs and other community involvement

Responsibilities:

  • Design transactional ETL processes using Python and SQL (Primary tech stack: Airflow, pandas/Polaris, SQLAlchemy; dbt with SnowSQL)

  • Develop low-level Python connectors for various market tools

  • Build Python packages supporting custom ETL workflows

  • Continuously improve existing architecture by: identifying and resolving technical bottlenecks, introducing new tools, technologies, and best practices

  • Contribute to the design and development of data warehouses and data lakehouses (based on relational databases)

  • Write high-throughput data transformations and quality checks using SQL (dbt)
