Skills/Qualifications

The competition is open for persons who meet the conditions specified in the regulations on the allocation of resources for the implementation of tasks financed by the Foundation for Polish Science for First Team FENG grant.

Required competencies

  • Hold a PhD (or equivalent) in chemistry.
  • Have practical experience in the synthesis and analysis of functional organic materials and chiral materials.
  • Have an excellent general knowledge of chemistry.
  • Communicate well in English in writing and in oral and visual presentations, and be able to write reports for publication in scientific journals.
  • Be a good team player.
  • Have a willingness to supervise and support junior coworkers.
  • Be highly motivated and have a strong commitment to research.

The candidate should hold a PhD degree for no longer than 7 years before the date of signing an employment agreement in the project.

Eligibility criteria

  • the candidate’s research achievements, including publications in prestigious academic press/journals
  • soft skills (communication skills, ability to work in a team, resistance to stress)
  • research achievements, scholarships, awards and research experience gained in Poland or abroad, research workshops and training courses, participation in research projects
  • the candidate’s competencies to carry out specific tasks in the research project, including the synthesis of chiral and functional materials
