The challenge is to efficiently store, index, analyze, and connect these datasets while ensuring they are easily and reliably available to our users. At the same time, we need to scale and adapt quickly to meet growing demands.

The Solution

Our company enables customers to build, deploy, and manage location-based applications on our cloud infrastructure. With powerful abstractions, state-of-the-art building blocks, and cutting-edge cloud technologies, our map making platform allows customers to ingest, store, share, and analyze location data in real-time. Data can be combined, enriched, and shared among platform members, unlocking even greater potential.

As a Software Engineer , you will play a key role in shaping and improving our platform.

You will be part of a cross-functional, self-organized team, working on mission-critical services that demand high performance, compliance, security, and uptime.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services at scale

• Own the full software lifecycle, from concept to production

• Ensure software quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices

• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define and refine requirements

• Contribute to system architecture and technology selection

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform reliability

• Document solutions and maintain internal knowledge bases

Who are you?

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in Java

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, and networking (TCP/IP)

• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL (PostgreSQL including PL/pgSQL experience is a plus)

• Strong software design skills and a focus on writing clean, maintainable code

• Solid programming fundamentals and data structures knowledge

• Passion for learning and the ability to adapt to new challenges

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud platforms, especially AWS

• Experience with containerization (Docker)

• Exposure to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at scale

• Experience with unit, integration, performance, and acceptance testing

• Exposure to Scala and Node.JS

• Experience with Apache Spark or similar distributed data processing technologies
