We’re looking for a Java Software Developer to join our Backend R&D team. With two other Java developers you’ll be maintaining and extending functionality of our backend system responsible for storing, retrieving and updating hundreds of millions of economic time series.  

• Computer science degree or equivalent job experience,
• Hands-on experience developing with Java 8+ and the basics of Spring Framework or JEE,
• Good overall communication skills – good written and spoken English,
• Willingness to learn, research and experiment on your own, and share your findings with the team,
• Develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications, ensuring simplicity, scalability, performance, and reliability,
• Basic knowledge of relational databases, SQL,
• Experience using some build system – e.g. Maven or Gradle,
• Basics of working with GIT,
• Ability to debug existing code.
