Becoming a Junior GL Accountant at Capita:

As a Junior GL Accountant at Capita you will join a dynamic Finance Shared Service team, where you can utilise your exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain beneficial relationships with clients as well as colleagues. What you’ll be doing:

1. Month-end activities and reporting for CAPITA divisions
2. Production and submission of monthly reporting packs according to strict deadlines
3. Preparation and analysis of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations
4. Preparation of month-end journal postings (accruals, prepayments, WIP, deferred income)
5. Various reporting checks and analysis/reconciliation
6. Providing support to the UK based teams
7. Ad-hoc transactional activities during the month
8. Working with the SAP system

Skills you need to succeed:

1. University diploma preferably in accounting, economy or finance-related disciplines (or being a student available full time)
2. Excellent English skills (C1, oral and written)
3. Relevant accounting experience
4. Great attention to detail and ability to analyse data and check its accuracy
5. Ability to work accurately while meeting strict deadlines
6. Excellent analytical and communication skills
7. Strong aptitude for numbers and figures
8. Knowledge of and practical experience with general ledger (GL) would be an asset
9. Experience in ERP systems (SAP) would be an asset
