As a DevOps Engineer, youll collaborate closely with both development and infrastructure teams to facilitate the development process. Your responsibilities include configuring CI/CD pipelines, utilizing monitoring tools, managing system backups and restores, and updating infrastructure configurations. Youll also play a key role in coordinating with developers on application requirements, implementing continuous integration pipelines, patching package and library requirements, and emphasizing collaboration between teams to streamline processes.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

1. Call (15 min): It takes place after positive consideration of your CV. We will tell you who we are, how we work and who we are currently looking for. We will want to know your expectations towards the company, project and cooperation. We will also answer all the questions bothering you at this stage.
2. Online meeting (1 h): This is a technical interview conducted by our CTO or another technical leader. We will want to know more about your experience so far, we will ask a few technical questions, but also answer your questions. You will have the opportunity to learn more about the project / projects and work at Appstronauts.
3. Decision (max. 3 days): After the technical meeting, we come back to you with feedback. If the meeting was positive, you will receive a cooperation offer from us. If, at the moment, we decide not to propose a project to you, you will receive detailed information about what the decision comes from and what it is worth working on to join us in the future.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in version control systems such as GitLab or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or equivalent.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
• Cloud computing experience, particularly with AWS and optionally Azure and GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with security tools such as Secrets Management, SAST (e.g., SonarCube), and DAST (e.g., Burp, OWASP ZAP).

Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• Cloud-specific certifications like AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, and Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer.
• Containerization certifications such as Docker Certified Associate and Certified Kubernetes Administrator/Developer.
• Automation & Security certifications, like Red Hat Certified Engineer and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, are nice-to-have.
