The European Business Centre is based in Warsaw where experienced accountants and specialists provide bookkeeping and accounting services for more than 30 European ECCO companies.

Responsibilities

• Processing of bank statements and management of bank related suspense accounts.
• Reconciling and clearing incoming payments with Accounts Receivable and outgoing payments with Accounts Payables.
• Processing payment deductions for sales invoice discounts.
• Checking and processing customer direct debits (rejections).
• Performing analysis and reconciliation of cash and bank accounts and resolving any discrepancies.
• Close cooperation with the Credit Control team.
• Meeting the daily and weekly deadlines for bank statement processing.
• Closing of the accounting periods without any delays, in accordance with ECCO group closing calendar, policies and procedures.
• Preparation of reports to support business needs on monthly/weekly basis.
• Being a proactive business partner with forward‑looking, timely, high‑quality, and value‑adding financial support.
• Supporting audit process.
• Creating new ideas to improve processes and taking an active part in continuous improvements / project activities.

Requirements

• Experience in cash application tasks or bank transaction posting.
• Interest in working in an international environment or shared service centre.
• Basic knowledge of SAP is preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus.
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in the use of Excel.
• Quality and deadline oriented.
• A collaborative team player with a willingness to learn and grow.
