Are you starting in the craft of a Backend Engineer? As a Junior Backend Engineer, you get a chance to contribute to the creation of end-to-end digital processes that are composed of multiple journeys powered by the flow engines and using pre-built connectors. What youll do

As a Junior Backend Engineer, you will join a Product team in our Business Banking value stream within the R&D department, focusing on creating a solution that allows banks to seamlessly service customers and employees by crafting memorable and engaging banking experiences. By joining the Business Banking Tribe in Poland, you will have the opportunity to work on Entitlements which provide a set of web journeys designed to control user access and limit what financial institution employees and customers can do with the resources they have access to.

As part of the team, you will contribute to new and existing functionalities, proof of concepts, and technical improvements that will be implemented in the Digital Banking Platform. Your autonomous team is responsible for the entire software development life cycle for the digital banking product suite: from idea to release. R&D way of working is inspired by the Spotify Model. We are organized in Value Streams (e.g. Business Banking), Tribes, Guilds, and Chapters where engineers can exchange knowledge and share new ideas. Business Banking squads follow an Agile way of working, delivering product increments in monthly releases.

Who you are

You have a solid background in software development including design; STEM education is a huge advantage.

1. You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Product company and Agile environment.
2. You have excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written.
3. You are a team player able to communicate clearly and confidently with your team members.
4. You have experience with Java, Spring, Maven, CI/CD (GHA, Jenkins).
5. You have experience with microservices (Netflix OSS is a plus).
6. You have experience with Cloud and traditional application servers (WebSphere, JBoss, …).
7. You have knowledge of relational databases.
8. You have experience with non-functionals such as performance, scalability, security.
9. Interest in the banking domain or fintech products will be considered an advantage.
10. Understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns will be an advantage.
