As part of our mission, our Global Business Services (GBS) team in Szczecin, Poland plays a vital role in supporting our global operations. With a team of approximately 170 talented professionals, we deliver essential services across Finance, Tax, Legal, Marketing, IT and Business Process Management—ensuring operational excellence and enabling innovation across Embla Medical worldwide.

Your role

Are you someone who thinks logically, learns quickly, and enjoys making sense of how things work - even if you don’t come from a finance background? Then this role might be the perfect match for you.

As a Junior Accountant, you will join a truly international team and play an important part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.

Your role will focus on processing and verifying accounting documents, keeping financial data clean and up to date, supporting month-end routines, and helping internal and external partners find the right answers.

Your Accountabilities

• Verify accounting documents and financial transactions, ensuring correct booking in the system.
• Enter documents into the system, check their completeness and route them to the appropriate approvers.
• Monitor document status and follow up on delays to ensure timely processing.
• Manage the shared mailbox and provide clear, timely responses to vendors and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and approvals.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Perform regular reconciliation of Accounts Payable GL and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to solve accounting-related issues.
• Conduct balance reconciliations with external vendors and intercompany partners and resolve identified discrepancies.
• Support audit processes and ensure proper documentation.

What do you need to be successful in the role

You should feel comfortable communicating in English, both spoken and written, as you will collaborate with colleagues and partners across different countries.

Any background in finance will be considered an advantage.

A basic working knowledge of Excel is essential for handling everyday tasks. You should also be able to analyze data, stay well‑organized, and manage your responsibilities in a structured and reliable way.
