Description:



In the role of Java Technical Lead, you will be wearing many hats covering project topics from various aspects like technical side, managing a team, making strategic decisions about technology, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software. You will need deep Java expertise combined with leadership skills to guide the team and keep things moving forward.



GlobalLogic is building an engineering Team interested to broaden their technical and language capabilities (Japanese and English) while working with one of the world biggest companies building bespoke social innovations.



Requirements:



Must have:

1. Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (native Japanese or JLPT N2 or higher, official JLPT certification is not a must)
2. Written and spoken English language proficiency (equivalent of B2 or higher)
3. Strong Java expertise (Java 8, 11, 17, 21)
4. Leadership and mentorship experience (team members mentoring, communication, team collaboration)
5. Problem solving & decision making attitude
6. SW architecture and design experience (UML, XML)
7. Proven experience with Agile methodologies
8. Open minded, self-reliant, motivated, quick learner, organised
9. Strong analytical skills
10. Hands on experience with larger projects delivery

Good to have:

1. Experience in CI/CD
2. Experience in TDD (test-driven-development)
3. Experience in FinTech / Renewable Energy / Railway / Automotive
4. Having an EU Blue Card (non-EU citizens)
5. Business development / stakeholders management
6. Prior experience working with Japanese companies is a plus (any domain)

Job Responsibilities:



In the role of Technical Lead you will be in charge of (but not limited to):

1. Engineering Team(s) technical leadership
2. Project management and coordination with external (Japanese) and internal (EU) stakeholders
3. Contributing to project(s) development / coding
4. Evangelizing best software development practices (coding guidelines, CI/CD, QA)
5. Solution performance optimisations
6. Efficient communication and collaboration with team members (hybrid teams)
7. Risks management
8. New technologies adoptions for better efficiency & performance
