What we achieve together

• As a Java Software Developer, you will build and operate Vaillant’s new layer of API services enabling seamless integration for our digital frontends
• Additionally, supporting other development teams by wrapping re-usable functionality into stable, reliable, performant and secure APIs which are oriented along domain contexts is important to you
• You will (re)design existing and new APIs to shape our platform integration layer by implementing API versioning, gateways, transformations and aggregations
• With your expertise and knowledge, you will take over the responsibility to maintain and operate existing API services and integrate them into the new API layer

What makes us successful together

• You have a degree with a focus on Computer Science or a comparable qualification and already have at least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer
• Moreover, you are familiar with the development of Spring based Java webservices using REST architecture and tooling
• A clear understanding of the implications of security, scalability, reliability and sustainability on API design is what makes you a suitable candidate
• You are familiar with agile software development methods and tools
• Business-fluent English skills and an open and trustworthy personality enable you to communicate confidently with Developers and Product Owners
