Java GCP Software Engineer – various levels

Sabre’s Intelligence Exchange is a cutting-edge data management platform that revolutionizes the way airlines approach big data. It exchanges, processes, and analyzes large volumes coming from different sources of the airline industry to support decision making, influence business processes and deliver unique customer experience. Responsibilities

1. Develops, tests and debugs new and existing, moderately complex, software solutions
2. Leads, mentors and coaches other team members to ensure the success of the team
3. Actively contributes to all phases of software development life cycle
4. Cooperates with Customers, Product Owners and Architects to understand business requirements, and to respond to their suggestions for improvements and enhancements

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years in Java EE application development and 1 year with GKE for Contributor. If you are Senior or Lead - longer experience is being expected for higher positions.

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree or equivalent. Master’s Degree in Computer science or Engineering preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

1. Proficiency in Java 11+ programming language and strong problem-solving skills
2. Experience in using TDD practices and concepts like DRY and Clean Code
3. Experience in the use of testing libraries such as Junit, TestNG, Mockito
4. Experience in XML/Web Services technologies (SOAP, REST)
5. Experience in working with Relational Databases, preferably Oracle
6. Experience with tools like Git, IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins
7. Demonstrated user level knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems
8. Familiarity with Cloud Computing concepts, services – preferably GCP and/or AWS
9. Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal, team player attitude

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

1. Experience with the GCP, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
2. Familiarity with various architectural styles including Microservices.
3. Spring Core as well as Spring Boot frameworks.
