Were Markets & Securities Services IT Poland, a technology department providing technology services and solutions for the Investment Bank businesses at HSBC. Systems we create enable transactions across multiple asset classes. Our teams work in partnership with the business counterparts to deliver high-throughput systems, from low latency trading applications to large Microservices platforms. We also perform architecture and cloud migrations.  

Securities Financing Technology is a diverse global team that works together to build innovative sales and trading systems for the Prime Brokerage and Financing businesses. We care about working hand-in-hand with our business partners towards realising the architectural principles of simplicity, efficiency and transparency.  The successful candidate will be working on an exciting project to deliver the next generation of HSBC Securities Financing | Collateral Treasury Platform.

Markets & Securities Services IT (MSS IT)

MSS Technology Poland team support investment banking division. We build high-throughput systems, from low latency trading applications to large Microservices platforms; as well as perform architecture and cloud migrations.

End users: Institutional Clients, Traders, Sales Teams, Relationship Managers, Middle Office

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• Prior experience of working in an investment banking setting.
• Expert-level applied Java experience including the JVM, garbage collection, data structures and non-blocking IO.
• Passion for technology, technological solutions, and continuous improvement.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and an excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of Securities Financing/Collateral Treasury/Liquidity is a plus.
• Good understanding of the design and architecture of robust, scalable, and highly available distributed trading platforms is a plus.
• Good understanding of risk, risk management and the role technology plays in this highly regulated environment is a plus.
• Appreciation of agile software delivery practices and knowledge of DevOps.
