Join the team behind Global Disbursements, a high-impact payments platform that empowers clients to move funds freely and fast across the globe. From paying suppliers and crediting salaries to direct tax settlements, our platform handles complex financial transfers via multiple global channels.

As a Backend Engineer, you will support the delivery of key projects through high-quality analysis, Agile design, and deep technical insight. You will work within a DevOps-aligned environment, using modern tools to ensure our global payment solutions are robust and efficient.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop & Support: Build and maintain high-performance backend services and microservices using Java 11, 17, and 21.
• Drive Quality: Design, implement, and maintain robust automation testing frameworks to ensure software excellence and reduce testing overhead.
• Modernize Infrastructure: Help reduce costs and complexity by migrating legacy systems to modern integration layers using APIs and microservice patterns.
• Optimize Performance: Work on increasing Straight-Through-Processing (STP) capabilities to ensure seamless, automated financial transactions.

What You Need to Succeed (Must-have):

• Java Proficiency: Strong experience with Java 11+ (Java 17+ is highly preferred).
• Test Automation: Advanced, hands-on experience in software testing, including the design and implementation of automated test frameworks.
• Microservices: A solid working understanding of RESTful microservices and APIs.
• Core Tools: Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Systems & Data: Comfort navigating Unix-based systems and command-line interfaces, plus experience with SQL and database technologies (Oracle preferred).
• Frameworks: Strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Prior experience working within a QA team.
• Understanding of application monitoring tools and practices.
