About the role:

We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Java Developers with Kafka who have a keen focus on automation: you are passionate about major trends in the way of working including, for example, Lean IT, continuous delivery, cloud processes, etc.

Main responsibilities:

• Make sure that our applications are secure, stable and meet all regulatory requirements,
• Install, configure and implement software components,
• Make sure deployments and testing are automated,
• Integrate applications in the ING application landscape,
• Work in a cross-border agile squad, and actively contribute to continuous improvement of quality and speed.

Key requirements:

• High level knowledge on Kafka Streaming API or Kafka Connect and Schema registry,
• Advanced in Java backend development, Java Streams, Collections and Generics,
• Experienced in data integration techniques, ingesting to and consuming from Kafka,
• Professional experience with Agile methods / Scrum,
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS 12c or higher, Oracle SQL,
• Linux (bash) scripting capabilities,
• Should be familiar with CI / CD tooling: Azure DevOps, Maven, CheckMarx, Git, Ansible,
• Excellent command of English.
