We are looking for Java+Python Engineers to join an international engagement for a client from consulting industry. If you’re passionate about enabling sustainable change across engineering practices, this fully remote engagement could be a strong fit!

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement quality gates based on a consistent pull request workflow

• Define and enforce standards for code review, branching strategy, Definition of Done, and automated checks

• Introduce and operationalise BDD as a core testing and communication practice

• Drive adoption of Gherkin scenarios and living documentation across PO, QA, and Development

• Lead upskilling and coaching activities (workshops, reviews, playbooks, guidelines)

• Create governance artefacts such as templates, checklists, dashboards, metrics, and reporting

• Support change management through office hours, feedback loops, and regular progress updates

• Ensure standards are sustainably adopted across teams - not one-off improvements

What we are looking for

• Min. 3-4 years of experience with Java (primary language) and Python exposure as well

• Proven success in upskilling teams and establishing quality gates via PR-based workflows

• Practical experience with pull request processes in GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, static analysis, automated testing, and code quality tooling

• Demonstrated experience implementing BDD practices

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills

• Very good English (spoken and written)
