We are looking for an experienced IT System Engineer with German to join the internal IT team of an international company supporting operations in Germany, France, and Switzerland.
This role combines hands-on infrastructure management with elements of system architecture design in a modern Microsoft & VMware-based environment.

responsibilities :
Key reponsibilities:
Administration and maintenance of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
Managing system and application updates (testing and deployment)
Backup and disaster recovery using Veeam Backup & Replication – including policy creation, monitoring, and test restores
Administration and maintenance of the VMware environment, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
Troubleshooting issues related to Windows Server, networking, and IT security
User support and access management in Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
Designing and planning IT infrastructure architecture (servers, storage, network, backup, compliance)
Defining system standards, documentation, and configuration baselines
Supporting high availability and failover solutions
Collaborating with internal teams on scalability, security, and modernization of infrastructure
requirements-expected :
At least 5 years of experience in IT systems administration
Strong expertise in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)
Hands-on experience in VMware administration and optimization
Proficiency in Veeam Backup & Replication, including backup policies and test recovery
Experience in update management of Windows systems and applications
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting/automation tools
Understanding of infrastructure design, system architecture, and disaster recovery
Excellent communication skills in German (C1+) and English (B2+)
