Job Description
We are now looking for an SOC R&D DevOps
What will you do?
As BLUE SOC R&D DevOps, you would be a part of the Blue SOC / Development & Support team.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize security tools to meet the specific needs of the SOC.
- Integrate various security tools and platforms to ensure seamless operation and data flow.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SOC tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SOC tools and technologies.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline SOC processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement automated responses to common security incidents and alerts.
- Analyze tool outputs and logs to identify potential improvements or issues.
- Work closely with SOC analysts and other team members to understand their needs and provide tool-related support.
- Train SOC staff on the use and best practices of SOC tools.
- Create and maintain documentation for SOC tools, including user guides and technical specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
- Research and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance SOC capabilities.

Qualifications
Who are you?
You are an experienced Security DevOps with a passion for security, visionary thinking, and a detailed understanding of security capabilities and their relations. Furthermore, you:
- Are delivery- and quality-oriented.
- Have the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Are willing to stay updated with the latest security trends and technologies.
- Display a positive outlook and high level of integrity.
- Have excellent collaboration skills.
- Can work independently and with your own initiative.
- Live up to the Vattenfall Experience Principles and Behaviors: Active, Open, Positive, Safety.
You will bring:
- At least 5-7 years of working experience.
- Good understanding of IT Security.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, PowerShell, KQL, or Bash for developing and automating SOC tools.
- Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar to analyze and correlate security events.
- Understanding of Linux system administration and knowledge of Linux security best practices.
- Experience in managing and orchestrating containers like Kubernetes, with an understanding of Kubernetes architecture, including nodes, pods, and clusters.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, architecture, and system administration.
- Experience in Security Operations / Development and Operations.
