Specific Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and integration of data privacy practices into product development.
Collaborate with privacy teams to ensure the organization meets data protection standards and legal obligations.
Manage risks related to handling personal and patient data.
Advise Product Teams on embedding privacy-by-design principles into technology designs and workflows, including AI/ML/GenAI solutions.
Provide guidance on privacy concepts and best practices for data access, generation, and reuse.
Offer insights on global privacy requirements and stay informed about emerging trends in data privacy.
Promote continuous learning and advocate for privacy best practices across the organization.
Address and resolve concerns or breaches related to data privacy.
Assist in drafting company policies and responses to data protection-related matters.
Support the creation of processes and guidelines to standardize the handling of personal data across the organization.
Act as a point of reference for data privacy guidance and inquiries within the company.
Foster trust as a reliable partner to business, informatics teams, and stakeholders across the organization.

At least 5 years of experience in a large global enterprise IT environment with a focus on data privacy.
A Bachelors degree in informatics, life sciences, business, or equivalent. A Masters degree and post-graduate coursework are advantageous.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and their applications to healthcare data.
Proven ability to identify and address privacy risks effectively.
Experience in implementing Privacy-by-Design principles and fostering a privacy-centric approach in handling personal data.
Background in translating privacy regulatory requirements into technical specifications and designs is highly valued.
Familiarity with the application of privacy regulations in AI/ML/GenAI domains is a strong advantage.
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including Agile.
Professional experience in audits, risk management, IT security, or IT privacy is desirable.
Certification in Data Privacy is an added benefit.
Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered a plus.
Demonstrated ability to support cross-functional teams, provide innovative solutions to complex business problems, and make impactful decisions across various functions.
Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying complex information, issues, and potential solutions at an executive level.
Strong capabilities in relationship building, customer focus, decision-making, and problem-solving.
