We are seeking a highly skilled IT Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will design, create, implement, and monitor processes that ensure the final product meets end users needs and specifications. You will collaborate closely with project managers, product owners, and development teams to ensure software products are of the highest quality and function seamlessly.

Your Role

As an IT Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of software products in a modern continuous delivery environment. You will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing test plans, and collaborating with teams to resolve issues. You will contribute to enhancing and improving software by applying testing processes for new and existing products.

Your Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, providing timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to identify software issues.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., product leads and developers) to identify system requirements.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with the Air and Sea Logistics teams, Test and Design teams, and nearshore development teams.

Your Skills and Experiences

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject, or comparable qualifications/experience.
• Proven work experience in software development or software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and defect descriptions.
• ISTQB or related certification is preferable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and contributing to the team’s success.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
