What this role is about?
The BTS Finance Performance Team is part of the Information Technology function at JTI. The team is responsible for understanding business processes and requirements and translating them into system (mostly but not limited in the S4 and BW area).
We work closely with the business departments to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet those.
Our area of expertise is FP&A and we play a key role in enhancing corporate financial planning solutions, which includes improvements, automation, innovation and IT systems roadmap.
As the Process Analyst Manager, you will act as a service provider working under the BTS Team Lead to support the daily operations and effective performance of the business solutions for the GSC area in SAP PPM and SAP PS. For SAP PPM focus will be on Portfolio Management (buckets, items, integration, configuration), and on PS we are looking for basic configuration knowledge (profiles, structure, UI, validations). Experience with SAP BW and BPC is needed. Sound Business analysis skills (requirements gathering and functional specification creation) and a must, while basic financial process knowledge (financial planning, asset accounting) is considered a plus.
In this respect, you are responsible for the resolution of minor and complex incidents & change/service requests and to deliver timely and quality solutions to the users while at the same time ensuring that they utilize the full application potential. Upon request, you will be part of a specific approved project as a customizing expert. You will be collaborating with local teams and global business owners in deploying global solutions to best suit local needs.
What will you do?
Operations (Business process/system change requests)
- Having ownership of the application support requests coming from the Global Service Desk (GSD), provide application support for both Production and Development through resolution of minor and complex incidents & change/service requests. That includes:
- Reproduce the problem in the test system.
- Investigate the solution, search for SAP notes if applicable, consult with relevant BTS experts, test implemented technical application notes, communicate, request, and monitor remote access by the application vendors technical support team.
- Test the solution.
- Provide and confirm problem solutions to end-users.
- Maintain appropriate documentation on the change request.
- When required update the knowledge base tool.
- Provide input to the operational BTS procedures to enhance service to customers.
- In regards to new enhancements, you will also analyze the requests coming from the Team Lead.
- Coordinate and conduct the application testing (new support packages, releases, functionality, and customizing) in close cooperation with quality assurance and technical team.
- When participating in a project team you will: design business processes; configure and coordinate with external parties; unit testing; maintain appropriate documentation and definition, and roll-out of standards and templates; potentially participate in training the business community (key users).
Knowledge management
- Make a permanent effort to keep the End Users up-to-date and knowledgeable of the systems and business processes / best practices.
- Provide knowledge transfer and best practices (global processes) to end-users through support/change request resolution.
- Maintain the solution database by creating knowledge base articles and getting them validated by the appropriate Expert.
Process Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date appropriate documentation in your scope of responsibility this includes BPMLs, Process flows, Enterprise structure, and BTS operational procedures.
- Work together with power users on documenting the processes from a business perspective.
- Work together with the project team and the process/business Expert on documenting the processes from a technical perspective.
- Ensure QA on the documentation executed by development teams.
Performance management
- Monitor the performance and effectiveness of specific business processes in close cooperation with the technical team.
- Together with other Business Intelligence groups assess master data and reporting requirements for key users in his/her business area.
What are we looking for?
- Sound SAP PPM module knowledge – Portfolio Management (buckets, items, integration, configuration).
- SAP PS: Project system basic configuration (profiles, structure, UI, validations).
- SAP BW: basic experience with BW reporting, and functional specification creation in this area is a plus.
- Experience in Business Analysis role.
- Basic Financial Knowledge – financial planning and asset accounting.
- Project management (Waterfall/Agile) skills are a plus.
- Database structures (MS SQL), Microsoft Azure platform is a plus.
- Analytical and Detail oriented.
- Self-starter, proactive, fast learner, and interested in self-development.
