We are partnering with a global leader in the FMCG sector to find an experienced IT Portfolio Project Manager to lead high-priority digital transformations within their Research & Development (R&D) and Innovation division. In this role, you will oversee the global Project Portfolio Management (PPM) ecosystem and modern AI-driven project assistants. As the team expands its digital footprint in Europe, we seek a strategic leader with an analytical mindset to bridge complex R&D processes and technical IT delivery in a fast-paced, global environment.

What we expect

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in IT Project Management, with a focus on both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

• Domain Expertise: Solid understanding of the FMCG industry or R&D Innovation processes.

• Technical Familiarity: Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Gantt charts).

• Analytical Excellence: Ability to translate complex business needs into structured technical requirements and summaries (readiness to provide 2-3 project case studies).

• Communication: Excellent English (C1) for daily collaboration within a matrixed, global environment.

• Education & Certs: Bachelor’s degree in IT or Business; PMP, Prince2, or ACP certification preferred.

• Nice to have: Experience with Sopheon Accolade or similar enterprise-grade PPM platforms.

Your tasks

• PPM Ecosystem Governance: Overseeing the implementation, upgrades, and global rollout of the Project Portfolio Management platform.

• AI & Digital Innovation: Leading the development of an AI PPM assistant and modern idea-management tools.

• Global Resource Planning: Managing the implementation of resource allocation and capacity planning modules across international business units.

• End-to-End Delivery: Coordinating project planning, milestones, and RAID logs, ensuring alignment with the R&D stage-gate process.

• Stakeholder Orchestration: Acting as a co-pilot for engineering projects to ensure they align with global practices and business objectives.

• Change Management: Navigating ambiguity and driving business process changes to ensure high user adoption of PPM tools.
