Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s IT Operations Teams support hardware installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of computer/data center systems. They monitor batch schedules, respond to schedule issues or abnormal program terminations, and manage tape backups, including physical tape handling. The team diagnoses and troubleshoots employee issues with personal computers and related systems, providing support for technical problems involving desktop, laptop, or network services, both locally and remotely. They develop, document, and implement standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines related to remote IT support. Additionally, they may monitor and troubleshoot equipment, assist with logging and documentation, cabling, racking, and server installations.

Responsibilities:

Local Infrastructure & Devices

  • Install & Integrate: Set up and integrate computer hardware and software, ensuring seamless network integration.
  • Maintain & Support: Keep PCs, notebooks, tablets, smartphones, printers, and peripherals running smoothly across locations.
  • Network Management: Support manufacturing networks, including machine PCs and systems like Hydra.
  • Tech Support: Provide first and second-level user and technical support in collaboration with partners.
  • Security & Compliance: Oversee virus protection, data backup, documentation, license management, and SCCM reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Server Assistance: Assist with server installation and administration alongside partners.
  • Network Installation: Support LANs, routers, firewalls, Aruba Wi-Fi, and network switches setup.
  • Domain Administration: Manage Active Directory, group policies, and user permissions.
  • Intranet & SharePoint: Administer and maintain platforms.
  • Database Management: Set up and maintain databases when necessary.
  • Support Transitions: Aid in acquisitions, divestitures, and migrations/upgrades (PCs, LAN, WAN, servers, printers, smartphones, VOIP, etc.).

User Support

  • Responsive Assistance: Manage user requests, provide training, and implement new solutions.
  • Comprehensive Support: Support plant/site users locally and EMEA sites remotely as needed.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work with TEIS team and partners to deliver excellent service.

IT Policies & Compliance

  • Policy Adherence: Apply IT policies related to security, change management, operations, and disaster recovery.

What your background should look like:

  • Education: University degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Active Directory.
  • Language: Excellent English skills.
  • Customer Focus: Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to customer advocacy.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well with global teams and external partners.
