Job Description
IT Infrastructure Engineer is a role in our Technical Support Center located in Katowice, Poland in our Managed Services Team. This is the team responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and management of IT infrastructure (VMware, servers, domains, backup, storage) in factories around the world. You will handle the monitoring, implementation, and configuration of new sites according to Rockwell Automation standards, as well as documentation of processes and solutions.
You will report to the Supervisor, located in Katowice.
What you will do:
- Monitoring of IT infrastructure at the customer.
- Talk to customers. You are the face of our company to our customers. How you communicate and work with them creates a positive experience that keeps them loyal.
- Support our clients – using phone and emails you’ll help resolve technical issues regarding configuration and solving problems in virtual area VMware, Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019/2022 and backup systems.
- Documenting technical solutions and best practices.
- Expanding knowledge and improving specialist skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Good command of English.
- University degree – preferable IT/Automatics or similar or 1 year of professional experience.
- Experience in administration of systems Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019.
- Experience in administration of systems VMware.
- Experience in configuration, administration, and service management - DNS, DHCP, RDP, RDWeb.
- Experience in administering NetBackup, Veeam, Backup Exec, and VDP backup systems.
- Work effectively in stressful situations and under time pressure.
- Communication with all levels of management.
Nice to have:
- Experience in management of environments connected with VMware VSAN.
- Certification Microsoft MCSA.
- Certification VMware VCA/VCP.
- Experience in administering LAN/WAN networks based on Cisco technologies will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of an additional European language will be an advantage.
Additional information:
- Work from Monday to Friday between 7-15, one working weekend per month.
- 8-person team (international team).
- The first contract for 6 months, the next one for an indefinite period of time.
