Job Purpose

The IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is the primary liaison between IT and the site/function. The BRM partners with key business stakeholders to deliver IT services and solutions, drives innovation and IT value aligned with business strategy, and manages IT costs, budget and rolling forecasts for efficient delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Single point of contact for site/function leaders regarding IT topics, communicating with business stakeholders on all IT aspects using relevant KPIs & scorecards.
• Accountable for IT budget and cost effectiveness within the area of responsibility.
• Participate in business staff meetings to build relationships with leadership and understand demand & strategy.
• Develop long‑range IT strategy/roadmap proactively based on business requirements.
• Advise business on maximizing IT investments, develop business cases, and identify opportunities to leverage IT for tangible value (lead POCs/projects).
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiency with key users and drive metrics for cost saving and value creation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in business and technology, using knowledge to drive innovation.
• Ensure global IT standards, policies and strategies are implemented under IT leadership guidance.
• Work closely with the IT Service Delivery Manager to ensure effective operations per SLAs.
• Accountable for project delivery of operational improvements and related technology solutions with IT service areas and local external vendors.
• Collaborate with other BRMs to share best practices and develop a regional IT strategy aligned with business priorities.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including training and presentation delivery; experience in multinational/multicultural companies preferred.
• Good understanding of manufacturing business processes, preferably automotive.
• Subject‑matter expertise in both business areas and IT technologies (applications, analytics, etc.).
• Strong customer‑management skills and ability to translate complex requirements proactively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work harmoniously as part of a team.
• Ability to work directly with middle‑to‑senior management and employees at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities.
