Were Markets & Securities Services IT Poland, a technology department providing technology services and solutions for the Investment Bank businesses at HSBC. Systems we create enable transactions across multiple asset classes. Our teams work in partnership with the business counterparts to deliver high-throughput systems, from low latency trading applications to large Microservices platforms. We also perform architecture and cloud migrations.
The Surveillance IT team is a department within HSBC’s Global Banking & Markets IT function. The team is responsible for the software and hardware underpinning the firms’ primary Trade, eComms, Voice and Unauthorised Trading applications. Our clients are internal users from the Regulatory Compliance function, who are responsible for the definition of surveillance techniques and models, the monitoring of alerts, and the management of any subsequent investigations and reports into suspicious activity.
The purpose of this role will be to work in a global agile development team helping deliver the first step towards Surveillance’s technology target state. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding stakeholder needs in relation to the data that is required to either be ingested, or generated, onto the Surveillance platform.
responsibilities :
Understand stakeholder needs of the data sets ingested and generated by the platform.
Own the relationship with specific stakeholders (including other Application product owners) in the context of those data sets.
Work with stakeholders to identify new “Views” of data needed to support user or Product Owner requests.
Explore and document user requirements, ensure that all information required by the sprint team to deliver a User Story is available in a timely fashion.
Produce and maintain schema defining data set requirements.
Own the sprint backlog for data processing activities (Epics, User Stories, Prioritisation etc.).
Lead testing activities associated with the Apps and capabilities for which they are responsible (to include writing and executing test cases/specifications).
requirements-expected :
Prior experience performing a IT Business Analyst role in an agile delivery team.
Good working knowledge of Atlassian toolset (Jira and Confluence).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple stakeholders via remote working practices.
Previous involvement in delivery of analytics/data-centric systems.
Awareness of the capabilities, strengths and weaknesses of a variety of data storage technologies.
Working knowledge of variety of data formats (e.g. CSV, JSON, ORC, Avro, Parquet, XML).
A markets-related function of a Financial Services institution.
