General information:

In Center of Expertise Cybersecurity & Risk we develop, together with other units, the banks cybersecurity strategy and supervise its implementation. We keep the bank secure and compliant to safeguard customer trust. We develop and manage all operational processes in cybersecurity domain. In addition, we analyze the latest market trends related to IT security, including testing new technologies that support implementation of our strategy. As the Manager of Security Architecture Team you will manage a very highly skilled group of Security Architects.

You will facilitate and own security architecture multi-year roadmap.

You will be a key contributor to overall cybersecurity strategy of the Bank.

We are not looking for the best security architect there is. We are looking for a leader, that will be able to unlock full potential of an exceptional team we already have.

Your responsibilities

• Ensuring that architecture designs in areas of public and private cloud, networking, CI/CD, applications, operating systems, IAM, databases conform to security standards and best practices.
• Being in charge of designing cybersecurity platforms and applications that safeguard Bank’s environment.
• Setting security standards themselves and incorporating regulatory requirements into them.
• Together with your team playing a key role in systems hardening, interconnectivity management, automation and development of security controls.
• Creating a vision of how security architecture should operate to be the most effective for the Bank and implementing this vision.
• Together with all the other teams in CoE you will be directly responsible for keeping the Bank and its customers secure.

Our requirements

• At least 8 years of IT experience, ideally within finance sector.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience (line-manager expertise including team motivation, development, communication of strategy, work planning) of 5+ people.
• At least 3 years of experience practicing security architectural design, solution architecture at enterprise-level scale.
• Excellent communication skills (effectively manage a team comprising of senior and junior architects, be an advocate for security architecture on all levels of organization).
• Understanding of current IT security frameworks and standards is a must (ISO2700x, COBIT, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Knowledge of modern security architectures for both on-premise and cloud deployments.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud providers, predominantly Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure, along with their built-in security measures.
• Understanding of security impact of current regulations and their finance-sector specifics is a must (PCI-DSS, Recommendation D, UKNF communication on information processing using public or hybrid cloud, Cybersecurity Act, RODO/GDPR).
• Hands-on experience in vendor/supplier management including contract negotiations, enforcement of security measures within the contract and on-site/off-site audits.
• Understanding of principal ITIL processes like Change Management, Incident Management, Knowledge Management, Access Management etc.
• Understanding of principal security processes like Vulnerability Management, Security Event Monitoring, Secure (Hardened) Configurations, Incident Management/Response etc.
• Fluent language skills – Polish and English (at least C1 equivalent).
• Being able to translate business requirements into IT and security products, presenting security solutions and requirements during IT Architecture Boards, explain complex technical aspects to non-technical audience, effectively cooperate beyond Bank Śląski, including ING Group.
