The Opportunity:

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will primarily focus on Test Automation (60%) alongside some Manual Testing activities (40%). The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation packs for required functions/tools within project

What you’ll do:

• Design & implement test automation using Java, Selenium Webdriver, IntelliJ, Maven, Junit and Cucumber.
• Perform API testing using tools like Insomnia, RestAssured.
• Review and update the existing automation framework.
• Stabilize the existing regression suite and ensure it is up-to-date with the latest codebase.
• Design regression packs in sync with releases and contribute to their maintenance.
• Support test transformation initiatives, reflect continuous improvement, and implement best-in-class practices suitable for the program.
• Regression packs to be designed in sync with the releases and contribute to maintenance of those regression packs.
• Participate in sprint planning sessions and provide sequencing for user story development to enable test progress within the sprint.
• Provide informed input into test estimation activities and test metrics based on application knowledge, domain expertise, and testing experience.
• Ensure regression packs are aligned with release cycles and maintain their quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• 3-6 years of experience in test automation.
• Strong experience in Selenium with Java for test automation.
• Proficiency in BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, RestAssured, Karate.
• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and clear Java fundamentals.
• Experience working in agile with hands on experience on JIRA tool.
• Experience in manual testing, including creating test scenarios from requirement documents or user stories.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Good analytical and planning skills with a strong understanding of business and organizational issues.
• Ability to provide continuous feedback and ensure adherence to performance level agreements.
• Strong customer orientation, interpersonal sensitivity, and judgment skills.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Knowledge of the Page Object Pattern for test automation design.
• AI prompting using copilot or similar.
• Tosca.
