Join our dynamic team in Poznan as a Process Engineer in ADOB, where your expertise will drive innovation and operational excellence! As a vital member of our site team, you will deliver cutting-edge conceptual process designs and provide essential guidance during the execution of capital expenditure (capex) projects. Your contributions will be pivotal in aligning technology and operational insights with growth demands, as well as ensuring compliance with regulatory and HSE requirements.

In this role, youll support the site team in enhancing operational efficiency across various dimensions, including capacity optimization, product quality improvement, maintenance strategies, and cost management. Your responsibilities:

  • Participate in projects, being able to act as lead engineer.
  • Planning and coordination of work related to CAPEX projects
  • Supervision of project implementation and integration of new technologies with existing systems.
  • Based on customer demands defines scope of projects and manages uncertainties.
  • Basis of design
  • Flow sheeting, process flow diagram, process description, material and heat balance
  • Process calculations, sizing of equipment, piping and instrumentation
  • Create and establish P&ID (Piping & Instrument Diagram)
  • Preparation of functional descriptions of instrumentation and process control
  • Perform technical evaluation of quotations and support sourcing on contract agreements
  • Assessment of the profitability and risk of new investments.
  • Document the activities performed on processes and design work (Process Evaluation Report, Process design Book)
  • Participate/lead as Process Engineer at commissioning and start-up of plants
  • Participate/lead as process responsible in safety analysis and other HSE activities
  • Comply with local HSE and regulatory rules and with Nouryon guidelines
  • Developing technological diagrams
  • Creating and updating flowsheets in accordance with design requirements and industry standards.
  • Analysis of production processes and identification of opportunities for their optimization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical specifications.
  • Cooperation with Production Managers
  • Consulting and implementing new technologies and processes in existing production lines.
  • Solving operational and technical problems to ensure efficient production operation.
  • Monitor process performance and adjust patterns as needed.
  • Cooperation with the Maintenance Department
  • Identification of spare parts and resource needs to maintain the continuity of current production
  • Implementing safety and compliance procedures.
  • Documentation and Reporting.
  • Creating and updating technical and operational documentation.
  • Preparation of reports on the efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Conducting training for employees in the field of new technologies and processes.
  • Continuous improvement of technical and project management skills.

Our requirements

  • Higher technical education, preferred majors are chemical, mechanical, production or related engineering.
  • Experience working in a similar position, for at least 5 years, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  • Knowledge of technological and production processes.
  • Experience with chemical plant design, start up and commissioning
  • Experience with process engineering role and knowledge of process design methodology and tools
  • Experience with process hazard analysis (Hazop)
  • Experience with stage gate engineering process (Front End Loading, Detailed Engineering etc.)
  • Ability to create and read technological diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools and process design software.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Ability to analyze processes and identify potential improvements.
  • Ability to solve technical and operational problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different departments in the company.
  • Ability to plan and implement projects, including new investments.
  • Experience in project management will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of English at B2 level
  • Ability to work under time pressure and in a dynamically changing environment.
  • Initiative and proactive approach to tasks.
  • Result oriented
