About Our Client

Job Description
- Analyse loan portfolio datasets (mainly non-performing debt portfolios sold by European banks).
- Conduct valuation and risk assessment of loan assets, projecting their performance over a 10-15-year horizon.
- Prepare investment cases and financial models for transactions typically ranging from €10M to €100M.
- Support senior investment managers in evaluating and executing investment opportunities.
- Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Use analytical tools (Excel, VBA, SQL, Alteryx, Python, or R) to process, clean and interpret complex financial data.
- Present valuation outcomes and portfolio performance analysis to senior management.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in the UK and other international offices.
The Successful Applicant
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or another analytical discipline.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large data sets.
- Excellent command of Excel; experience with VBA and SQL required.
- Hands‑on experience with Alteryx, Python, or R will be a strong asset.
- Solid understanding of loan portfolios, non-performing loans (NPLs), or structured finance instruments.
- Experience in data analytics, valuation, or financial modelling (e.g., DCF, IRR, portfolio forecasting).
- Strong quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently in a global, fast‑paced environment.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal (other European languages are an advantage).
