Inventory Optimization Lead (Merchandising / Sales)

Job Description

As an Inventory Optimization Lead in the Merchandising Function, you will be a key contributor to our merchandising unit, focused on achieving the optimal balance between inventory levels and customer demand across markets, warehouses and selling channels. You will ensure product availability, reduce carrying costs, and maximize operational efficiency, driving efficient regional demand fulfilment and spurring sales growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute strategy, establish ways of working and be accountable for the execution of initial allocation parameters, ensuring they remain correctly set.
  • Follow up inventory targets for warehouse and store segments and provide actionable direction.
  • Set delivery schedules to stores with the logistics counterpart.
  • Follow up replenishment and push strategy and settings per store segment.
  • Set external exit strategy for inventory together with global counterparts.
  • Monitor and execute system set-up to enable stocking and storage management in collaboration with Demand & Supply, Merchandise and Logistics units.
  • Optimize supply to minimize constraints and drivers impacting sales in line with the inventory optimization strategy.
  • Monitor and act on inbound/outbound garment flow to support logistics and stores planning.
  • Follow up execution of the framework for prioritization of articles for allocation to secure commerciality in stores.

You will collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders – from Concept Merchandisers, through Controlling, Store Operations, Logistics and Business Tech to Global counterparts – ensuring a smooth and efficient rollout of the inventory optimization strategy.

  • Previous experience of stock management strategies and practices.
  • Experience in merchandising, inventory or a sales‑related function.
  • Background in allocation, replenishment, or inventory management systems (meriting).
  • High level of analytical skills and salesmanship.
  • Programming skills (meriting).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
