About the Role
Under the management of the Site Supply Planning Manager, the Inventory Controller will be responsible for the correctness of stock levels in the ERP systems. The Inventory Controller will manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across the organization’s warehouses, ensuring optimal stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and accurately recording inventory data in the inventory management system. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate stock counts for raw materials and end products.
- Ensure proper corrections are made in the ERP system.
- Analyze root causes for discrepancies and determine action plans.
- Determine the needed frequency of stock counts.
- Ensure on‑time movement bookings in ERP systems and support operational team as needed.
- Train and provide training documents to operations on correct stock bookings.
- Lead discussions during audits.
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, trends, and KPIs.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Assist in development and implementation of inventory management strategies.
- Work closely with finance for month‑end and year‑end inventory reconciliation.
- Collaborate with OPR Planners, RM Planners, Warehouse, and Production to forecast inventory requirements and align stock levels with demand and operational planning.
- Collaborate with finance for monthly, quarterly and year‑end inventory closings; provide documentation and explanations for audit and compliance reviews.
- Track and trace WMS system availability and report issues when needed.
- Monitor external warehouse KPIs and drive improvements when necessary.
About You
- Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably within Business or Engineering.
- 5 years experience in supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, and/or logistics.
- APIC or related supply chain certification.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG.
- Knowledge of lean inventory practices or Six Sigma certification.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices, specifically the integrated supply planning process.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Previous experience with SAP and Business Objects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Process oriented, high attention to detail and accuracy.
