Are you looking to gain professional knowledge in healthcare technology and sharpen your business skill sets?

If yes, Roche has opened an exciting internship for a motivated student or fresh graduate to be part of our Regional Customer Support Center EMEA-LATAM (Roche RCSC) in Warsaw.

Joining the internship, you will be integrated into a multinational team of Roche Poland, to assist our Diagnostics division in solving various technical hardware issues related to the Roche Professional Diagnostics Serum Work Area & IT portfolio of instrumentation, for various Roche’s laboratory customers across Lithuania and Latvia.

Our instruments and reagent systems are used in hospital-based labs, independent reference labs, and medical research centers of the largest pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the industry. Through our work, we offer a standardized and optimized approach that assists healthcare professionals in recommending treatment solutions that deliver superior patient care.

What you will experience during the traineeship:

1. Build on your knowledge of In-virtu Diagnostics instruments and systems used in Clinical chemistry & immunochemistry, and Lab Automation.
2. Support Roche engineers to identify and troubleshoot instrument failures through remote access, by phone, or in written form as a key contact point for laboratories and research centers (Roche’s healthcare customers).
3. Participate in other projects (e.g., System optimization, implementation of new tools…).

The traineeship is for you if:

1. You are currently a Bachelor’s or Master‘s student, or a fresh graduate from one of these majors: Healthcare Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Biomechanics, or similar programs.
2. You have fluent communication skills in Latvian and good English proficiency.
3. The Polish language is a plus.
4. You have a strong technical mindset, sharp analytical thinking, along with a keen interest in solving complex problems.
5. You are motivated to help people and learn new knowledge in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
6. You are eager to step out of your comfort zone and gain experience abroad with Roche.

What we offer:

1. A paid traineeship, starting on 1st September 2024 (or another date following discussions), for a minimum of six months or ideally one year (20-30 hours/week).
2. A support package covering the first 2 weeks of accommodation and travel expenses to Warsaw.
3. Full access to Roches medical instruments and systems for knowledge enhancement, with basic and advanced training.
4. Mentoring from Roche RCSC seniors.
5. An international workplace where you will be surrounded by open-minded experts.
6. Opportunity to be regarded as the first candidate when a full-time position opens with the team of RCSC.

Please note that the traineeship does not offer research or experiments in a lab. Instead, it will provide you with rich insights into topics such as Roche‘s in-vitro diagnostic instruments, technical support workflows, and systems, work organization, and the implementation of new tools (including IT) from an industry perspective.
