Internal Control & Compliance Officer (Eastern Europe)
Your responsibilities
Define, develop and facilitate the setup of an Internal Control & Compliance organization under the supervision of the Group Internal Control & Compliance Manager;
Support, liaise and align with Compliance Officers in the various SD Worx entities;
Assist in the definition, implementation and maintenance of a standardized and consistent internal control system throughout the SD Worx entities in East-Europe;
Verify compliance to internal policies & processes, and external laws & regulations by SD Worx and its partners and suppliers;
Set-up a Compliance Program (incl.compliance monitoring) supporting the corporate vision and strategic objectives;
Prepare for, coordinate and facilitate external audits and assessments (e.g. SOC reporting, client audits);
Provide advice and support to the business on internal controls and compliance;
Handle ad-hoc compliance & internal control requests from / towards external parties (partners, suppliers, customers);
Liaise with other control functions (legal, risk & security, internal audit);
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Group Internal Control & Compliance department
Your primary location will be Katowice, Poland but occasional travel to the headquarters in Antwerp, Belgium or other CEE locations are possible as well).
Our requirements
You are a high potential with at least 5 years of experience within an audit, internal control, compliance or risk management function
You have experience with working in an international environment, preferably in the services industry
You have proven knowledge of key standards, frameworks and concepts in the areas of Service Organisations Control (SOC reporting), information security (ISO27001), data privacy (GDPR), and IT service management and control (CobiT / ITIL)
You can effectively communication in English (orally and in writing)
You have strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
You have a pragmatic (internal) customer/business focus (enabling awareness, balanced risk-based approach, revenue protection)
You have the ability to develop strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
You have minimum a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, (commercial) engineering, IT or equivalent;
You are open to limited travel (mainly within Europe)
Legal compliance knowledge or background is a plus
Good knowledge of other European languages (e.g. French, German, Spanish) will be an asset
