(BSAM), headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, and Bridgestone Europe, Middle East and Africa (BSEMEA), headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, operate collectively as a “Bridgestone West” strategic region. This region services the strategic business needs of teams across the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa. BSAM and BSEMEA are subsidiaries of Bridgestone Corporation, globally headquartered in Japan. Bridgestone and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand products and solutions to address the needs of a broad range of customers and industries.
You will be responsible for executing accounting operations related to customer payments, account reconciliation, and reporting. You will ensure high quality of service, compliance with internal controls, and contribute to process improvements and internal projects.
- Posting incoming payments
- Resolving unallocated cash items
- Reconciling customer accounts
- Preparing and analyzing various financial reports
- Ensuring high quality of performed tasks
- Ensuring compliance with internal controls and J-SOX rules
- Supporting process improvements
- Participating in internal projects
Education, Master, other certification:- Relevant secondary education (e.g. Economics Technical School or post-secondary accounting training)
Experience (years):- Experience in accounting operations preferred but not required
Technical Skills:- Good MS Office skills
- Knowledge of SAP ERP package is a plus
Languages Skills:- Fluent English
- Additional European language is an asset
Soft/Behavioral Skills:- Understanding of accounting principles
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
