Requirements
- Relevant work experience within the financial sector, preferably banking.
- Completed academic education in economics, econometrics, applied mathematics, finance or comparable training.
- Knowledge in Asset and Liability Management and new regulatory developments regarding IRRBB.
- Sound knowledge of risk management and financial products.
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
Preferred Qualities
- Quantitative background with excellent understanding of market risks (interest rate, liquidity, FX).
- Understanding the complexities of a banking group with global operations, recent regulatory changes and requirements.
- Curiosity, openness to new developments, quick learning, ability to respond well to others.
- Pragmatic problem solver capable of supporting implementation of IRRBB risk measures in a dynamic environment.
- Team player who adds value to the Financial Risk organization, ensuring exceptional standards.
- Excellent command of English, including negotiation, presentation and writing skills.

Your Responsibilities
- Analysis and monitoring of market risk at ING Group level.
- Implementation of regulatory requirements in IRRBB.
- Managing models and tools for measuring and monitoring interest rate risk.
- Support senior managers and other stakeholders in managing interest rate.
Team Information
As an Interest Rate Risk Specialist you work in the Interest Rate Risk team within the Financial Risk department, contributing to worldwide management of market and liquidity risks affecting ING Group’s consolidated balance sheet.
You’ll identify, analyze, and quantify the bank’s interest rate risk, implement new regulations and risk systems for Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), execute stress tests, and ensure proper lifecycle management of relevant models and measurement and monitoring of applicable interest rate risk metrics.
You have a direct influence on ING’s risk management capabilities, providing concrete contributions to strengthen ING’s position as a reliable and expert bank for clients.
