Prepare and monitor short term and long range plans regarding expansion procedures, staffing, equipment, vehicles and products at the operations.
Assist in providing technical training to personnel in workshops, seminars and on-the-job training session in such areas as operations, manning, contingency planning, productivity, cost effectiveness and manpower scheduling.
Monitor productivity, service and cost performance in all areas of operations and assists personnel in implementing required changes.
Maintain communication between operations and corporate departments to provide technical expertise relating to facility requests, including lease termination, new location, five year planning, equipment justification, layout, vehicle planning and cost justification.
Assiss in studies designed to implement sound, innovative engineering concepts into operations and thus produce benefits for FedEx and our customers.
Produce operational business requirement specifications and contribute to business cases
Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed
Present project development and results to upper management
Wymagania
Degree or professional qualification in Industrial Engineering or quantitative discipline
Excellent command of English both written and spoken; Additional European language would be a plus (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Italian)
Strong analytical skills
High MS Excel skills; Formulas, Dynamic Charts, Macros
Programming skills (e.g. VBA for Excel, Python, etc.) are a plus
Data analysis skills (e.g. SQL, MS PowerBI, etc.) are a plus
Project management certification (e.g. PMI or PRINCE2) is a plus
Knowledge on: Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain or logistics is a plus
At least two years of experience working as operation engineer into manufacturing or services areas, supporting operations areas, positions like Quality Engineer, Operations Engineer, Process Engineer or continuous improvement engineers should cover this experience
