Our client is seeking a motivated Industrial Engineer to join their team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. This role focuses on optimizing operational efficiency, implementing process improvements, and supporting ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities

• Evaluate production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions to reduce waste, leveraging lean management techniques.
• Develop and execute improvement plans, such as time and motion studies, to enhance resource utilization and productivity.
• Manage and oversee improvement projects aimed at optimizing quality, costs, and delivery performance.
• Identify root causes of operational challenges and implement corrective measures.
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to uncover areas for enhancement.
• Collaborate with departments like production, quality, and logistics to align and streamline workflows.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new production lines or modifications to existing systems.
• Provide training to employees on lean methodologies and process optimization tools.
• Create and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), for improved workflows.

Employer requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the automotive supply sector.
• Fluent English (C1).
• Strong understanding of lean principles, including tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Proven ability to analyze processes and implement effective optimizations.
• Familiarity with production planning, logistics, and supply chain operations.
• Proficient in data analysis tools such as MS Excel and experience with ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Project management experience is an advantage.
