IMMIGRATION TEAM ADVISOR – JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will coordinate immigration requirements for the specific dedicated markets. Sitting within the Global Mobility team, this role will ensure that the compliance tracking for foreign hires is up to date, and work with third-party service partners to comply with individual employee’s immigration requirements for sponsorship of work permits & residency permits.

What you need to know about this position:

1. Own the immigration compliance for foreign hires by supporting the Global Mobility Advisors in monitoring the application for work permits of international movers and keeping up-to-date internal SOPs and processes with other PS stakeholders.
2. Track the validity of work permits and prompt the employees, line managers, and Global Mobility (if applicable) of upcoming expiring dates, initiate the services of Service Providers for renewals, and ensure the HRIS system is updated.
3. Issue monthly dashboards, with key highlights.
4. Support the Global Mobility Advisors with expert immigration knowledge in the review of complex cases. Ensure effective cooperation with our designated immigration service provider and, on a regular basis, share immigration regulatory updates.
5. Continuous improvement approach - recommend process changes / new ways of working to simplify and streamline processes, keeping in mind the employee’s experience.
6. Participate in Global Mobility projects, as required.

Job-specific requirements:

1. Deep immigration knowledge in the assigned geographical area is highly recommended, including:
2. Good understanding of the European Immigration landscape and its challenges.
3. Deep understanding of the legal environment regarding immigration processes in Central Europe (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia) in relation to the following areas:
4. Legal requirements regarding hiring EU and Non-EU Nationals.
5. Visa types.
6. New work/residence permits.
7. Prolongation of work/residence permits for non-EU Nationals.
8. Any other areas touching/impacting Immigration.
9. Be up to date in relation to changes in legal aspects regarding the immigration area.
10. Knowledge of the Immigration landscape pertaining to any other EU countries is also a plus.
