It involves implementing support for technologies and languages like PHP, Ruby, Scala, Bazel or Kotlin by working deeply with their ecosystems. The goal is to deliver stable, high-quality tools that improve the daily workflows of developers.

Your future team
The core team consists of experienced engineers focused on specific JetBrains IDEs or plugins, working primarily with Kotlin. They collaborate closely with external contributors and users to deliver stable, high-quality developer tools.
responsibilities :
Design and implement new features for JetBrains IDEs or core plugins using Kotlin and Java
Maintain clean, testable code and contribute to a stable, high-quality user experience
Work with customized Swing UI components and Kotlin coroutines
Dive deep into specific technologies like PHP and Ruby to build support in the IDE
Collaborate with a core team of engineers, external contributors, and users
Review code contributions and help maintain clean architecture across legacy and modern codebases
Influence the direction of the plugin or IDE by contributing ideas and improvements
requirements-expected :
Bring 4+ years of hands-on experience in Kotlin or Java development
Commercial experience with Kotlin
Write clean, testable code and work confidently with legacy systems
Understand concurrency concepts, ideally with Kotlin Coroutines
Dive into language ecosystems such as PHP or Ruby to build accurate tooling support
Communicate clearly in English at B2 level or higher
Show enthusiasm for improving developer tools and contributing to open-source projects
