IAM Platform Operations Analyst
The IAM Platform Operations Analyst is an operationally focused position with the goal of ensuring secure operations of our IAM platforms and maintaining their compliance to internal and external regulations. The main responsibility is operation of the IAM platforms and related services according to our internal service management procedures which are based on the ITIL framework. Related tasks include incident handling, request handling, change management, knowledge management as well as access management. To ensure Bayer’s business operation the position participates in a rotating on-call duty for handling of major incidents.
In addition, the position covers documentation of our processes and environment for internal and external audiences, development as well as modernization and updating of proprietary services/automations/integrations, definition of standards for collaboration with other parties in the IAM area, support of projects, and consulting of users across the organization.
A qualified candidate has extensive knowledge about IAM processes, tools, and ideally relevant regulations such as GxP. They will work closely with internal stakeholders such as our IAM capability team focused on development and engineering, workplace teams, our internal service management organization, other team members, as well as external service providers.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Operates Bayer’s IAM solutions Microsoft Entra ID and SailPoint IdentityNow
- Operates proprietary services, automations, and integrations developed on Azure and AWS
- Follows internal service management procedures as well as internal and external regulations and ensures compliance in day-to-day work
- Maintains Bayer’s IAM solutions and proprietary services
- Creates and maintains internal, service desk, and user documentation
- Supports the standardization of service operation and the handover of standard tasks to service desk as L1 support and externally provided content management
- Supports in projects and ensures a smooth takeover into operations
- Supports development of new proprietary services/automations/integrations
- Consults internal stakeholders in properly utilizing the Bayer IAM tools e.g. application enrollment and ensuring the principle of least privilege
- Works with IT service providers, currently operating AD, ADFS, AAD Connect
- Participates in a rotating on-call duty (every 6-7 weeks for one week at a time)
- Performs other related duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives
Qualifications & Competencies (education, skills, experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/business informatics or comparable technical or university education, ideally with a focus on IT/IT security
- Three years of experience working in the IAM area ideally with Microsoft Entra ID (former Azure AD) or SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow
- Experience working in IT operations
- Experience with scripting, software development, or web development preferably using PowerShell or Python
- ITIL Knowledge in processes (Incident, Problem, Change & Request Management) and tools (ServiceNow) is preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud services is an advantage
- Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. GxP) is an advantage
- Experience working with agile methodology such as SCRUM is an advantage
- Experience working with Azure DevOps is an advantage
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Strong communication skills and user orientation
- Quick learner with proven problem-solving as well as planning and organizing skills
- Proactive and self-motivated individual strong in teamwork
