A global aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced HR leader to join its senior management team as Director of Human Resources for the EMEA region.
This position oversees the full HR function for a regional workforce of approximately 1,200 employees across manufacturing, commercial and professional roles, with primary responsibility for operations in the United Kingdom and Poland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s long‑term vision and growth strategy by translating business goals into effective HR plans. The remit includes organisational design, employee engagement, talent acquisition, succession planning, development, performance management, labour relations, HR governance and continuous HR process improvement.
The role requires leading and mentoring a regional HR team across multiple sites, ensuring excellence in delivery, compliance, and employee experience from onboarding through to off‑boarding. Experience in a complex international manufacturing environment, including working with works councils, unions, and local employment legislation, is essential. Regular travel within Europe is expected.
Requirements include a minimum of ten years of progressive HR experience, with at least five years in a regional or global management role.
Candidates must demonstrate strategic HR leadership, excellent business partnering skills, strong employee relations expertise, and the ability to drive organisational effectiveness and performance through credible influence and data‑led decision making.
A bachelor’s degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
