We are looking for a “HSE Manager or Engineer” depending on your experience and competence to be based in any major Valmet location in Poland or Czechia. As a HSE Manager/Engineer you will have an opportunity to secure health, safety, environmental and social responsibility implementation and development of our Global Customer projects and construction sites in EMEA priority in Poland and Czechia. We are seeking a dynamic team player to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project HSE engineer services in nominated EPC and high-risk EPS sales and delivery projects, including readiness for ad hoc and pre-planned site presence typically 1 to 4 weeks
- Provide on-site safety supervisor services in nominated large shutdown work and short projects.
- Train and coach Valmet project and site organizations, including partners contracted as supervisors for site work, on Valmet project and site HSE management and social responsibility process and practices.
- Identify and coordinate the HSE partner network
- Arrange Sub-contractor HSE Days
- Participate in sub-contractor audits and lead site HSE audits.
- Ensure HSE incidents on customer sites are investigated and communicated and lead serious incident investigations.
- HSE support and coordination responsibilities in Steti roll workshop
- Contribute to developing Valmet project and site HSE management and social responsibility process and practices.
Knowledge And Skills
- Experience in leading complex, cross-functional projects in a global environment.
- Technical competence in customer site HSE management practices including risk identification and mitigation, especially in EPC projects.
- Incident investigation skills.
- Knowledge of multi-site ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 management system standards, as well as internal auditing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Polish. Other languages are merited.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-Suite, Power BI, M-Files, Sharepoint and Teams.

Experience & Education
- Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or other scientific fields. Professional HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or similar will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience working in HSE
- Several years’ experience in muti‑cultural customer project and site HSE work.
