Health and Safety Officer

Located in: Wrexham, United Kingdom (Relocation is a must)

Starting in January – Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months)

Requirements:

• This role is available from January and will be offered as a fixed-term contract for approximately six months.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in the field of Health & Safety (H&S) within the construction industry
• Very good knowledge of law regulations and occupational health and safety legislation
• Qualifications/certification to perform duties of an H&S service specialist
• English proficiency enabling professional communication
• Advanced user of the Microsoft Office suite
• Valid Category B driving license
• Willingness to travel : job location is in United Kingdom

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Delivering H&S training for employees and visitors, verifying acquired knowledge, and maintaining relevant records
• Conducting routine inspections at construction sites and enforcing compliance with H&S regulations
• Ensuring availability of personal and collective protective equipment on construction sites
• Identifying and recording particularly hazardous works
• Maintaining a register of hazardous substances used on site
• Documenting all accidents and incidents and maintaining appropriate registers
• Developing emergency evacuation plans
• Providing technical and legal advice in the field of H&S
• Cooperating with H&S supervisory authorities and inspection bodies
• Cooperating with contractors to ensure safe working conditions
• Identifying hazards, assessing risks, and implementing risk‑mitigation measures on construction sites
• Reviewing and preparing safe work method statements and instructions
• Promoting a strong safety culture and proactive H&S attitudes on construction projects, in line with Blue Projects’ “Zero Accidents” safety policy
